What Eats My Weekends

camera sony digital family photo A new Sony digital camera takes up the weekend.

It was good fun reading this article by Steve Ranger talking about how so called time saving gadgets which are meant to save your time ....you end up wasting hours and hours "playing" with them. I can totally empathise with this. I recently spent an aimless Saturday afternoon checking out all the functionality on my new Sony digital camera.

RMagick Batch Image Thumbnailing

camera thumbnail view Click through for help managing all your great photos from you new Sony 7MP camera.

This past weekend, I took hundreds of pictures with my new Sony digital camera. Being a 7.1 megapixel camera it tends to take very high resolution pictures so when faced with the dilemma of how to post all these pictures to my image gallery it was a simple decision … make a Ruby script!

Sony + Linux = Love

camera sony cybershot dsc-s600 How to make the Sony Cybershot DSC-S600 work with Linux.
I got a digital camera, it's a Sony CyberShot DSC S600, I was looking for a point-and-shoot digital camera that supports Linux, I'm very new to photography so I didn't want anything fancy with manual controls or anything, setting everything to auto is more than enough for me.
