A New Camera
Replacing the FujiFilm digital camera with a camera
from DXG.
I found a new camera on clearance to replace our FujiFilm digital camera. It’s a cheapy but $50 for a $140 digital video camera is a good deal for what we’ll do with it. It’s a DXG DVC-306. The specifications aren’t too bad. It’s not a professional camera by any means, but that’s not what I was looking for. I wanted simple, takes pictures & video, and inexpensive. Expect more pictures now that I can actually take them.

Evaluating Cameras

When I worked on Fujifilm's digital cameras (and Ricoh and Sony earlier), pixel count was king -- the more megapixels the better. It was sort of an arms race, but with a much less world-threatening outcome.
