Nikon D80 Leads Pack
The Nikon D80 definitely leads the pack (tied for all-time highest ProductCritic Score with the Canon 20D). The Sony puts in a respectable showing for the first version of their consumer DSLR. I'm surprised by the high score for the Pentax though.

A Relationship Strained
This pinhole camera enthusiast prefersBecause the 30 deg F high today is going to be the warmest it will be all week, I took the opportunity to walk up to Gamma in order to drop of my recently completed roll of film from my pinhole camera. The camera takes 120 roll film and, given how poorly my last rolls of film faired at the hands of Wolf Camera (who sends it out to who knows where), I thought it better to let the professionals do the processing.

Another CES In The Books
Trying to keep upYou can find a great selection of the latest camcorders and accessories at the Blog Carnival Store. It’s getting easier for “just folks” to create high quality audio and video. CES saw scores of companies presenting their small form-factor HD camcorders, podcast kits, solid-state camcorders, and digital cameras. The result is a rising corps of people who are learning audio and video production, just as desktop publishing tools in the 1980s brought out an army of paginators and publication designers. As was the case with desktop publishing, 90% of the audio and video produced will be crap, but with so much to sample, we’re in for a great world of creativity and citizen journalism.

Camera Hunt
A few weeks ago we required a new digital camera to replace our previous model. We are not experts in digital cameras. We start hunting, and gathering information on digital cameras that suited our intended use (primarily photos of vehicles), and suited our budget (for some reason the desirable models are always more money).

Cute Mini Security Camera
Mini cameras inside teddy bearsSome mini cameras are disguised as everyday objects. You may even find wall clocks concealing a mini security camera. They are great for your office or shop. You can also find cameras hidden in teddy bears, to keep an eye on your children.

Merry Christmas!
From Amy, Eric, and Sarah - This is awesome - the 3 of them pitched in together as a Christmas/wedding gift and got us the new digital camera we’ve been wanting!! The Canon Elph 550. Thanks guys! That was a VERY good gift idea! It’s nice to have a new model that functions exactly the way it’s supposed to and is probably less than 1/2 the size of the other.
